LOVE the new layout for the weapons. Putting the sprite of the class on the right to see who is capable of wielding the weapon is a really fun change!

Definitely agree...Equipable column looks great (Love how the classic hand/finger appears on links in info box too!!)

It would be cool if we could sort the items by price, dmg, hit, etc.

I find it quite peculiar that the thief is utterly incapable of using the wooden staff.

Hey! It's awesome that they're showing teh stats, hurt power, price, etc., but it would be a whole lot better if they gave us a picture of it. We're drowning out here! we haven't the slightest clue of what the heck the weapons look like so how are we gonna go about getting them if we've never seen them before!?! put on som images PLS!!!

This page tells you the name of the weapon and where you can find it. That's all you need to find it. A picture of the weapon won't help you find it.

Besides, the pictures don't show you anything useful other than the game's ordinary sword/knife/axe icon. And the game shows you those icons when you find or purchase them.

Actually, I think I remembered there being different sprites for each weapon when it was swung during an attack? I might be confusing this with another game.

Yeah, there's diff sprites for weapons swung, and weapons used must be equipped and therefore already purchased/found. So seeing that has no bearing on identifying what is what.
My question:
Does the Masmune help a BB/Master?
I don't like BBs. I find them boring, and kind of unrelated to the game because they don't use weapons, armor or magic (who can enjoy a game about levelling and leaving all the cool equipment unused?), and I don't think I'll ever take another 1 or 2, to the ToF and find out what they look like compared to each other.
If a Masmune BB more powerful? Or, if fists become more powerful, at which level?

Also,
I really don't know why people make such a big deal about the weapons not maintaining much of their magical attributes.
I mean, there are practically no enemies fire enemies that can't be wasted with a non-elemental Ice Sword, and if you play the game in the right order, it's kinda nice that you don't need to worry about unequipping the powerful ice Sword from Gurgu when you trek through the Ice Cave.
We don't really need a special sword for killing Giants or Werewolves. Light Axe, Mage Staff etc. do quite fine when it comes to wasting undead. The Coral and Dragon swords will probably NEVER last long enough to see a water monter or a Dragon (excluding sea monsters, but when was the last time you swung a coral sword at a sahag or an oddeye or a shark or something and didn't kill it in one hit anyway?)
The only weapon that really could've been more badass is the Rune Sword, and that's only because it would be just a tad cooler to make the Thief just a tiny bit more powerful after all those long hours of patiently sucking with the rapier and then the Scimitar, lofl >:/, and the Sabre.
