My personal favorite party...in the endgame, you've got 3 mages who can cast Fast, and if you give the RW the Masamune, then you've got 3 good fighters as well...

So that's the reason this party was used in 8-bit theater.

Why would you give the red wizard Masamune instead of the black wizard.....

This party sucks. Why would you ever pick a thief? Another Fighter would serve much better.

My personal favorite party. I personally like RM over WM sometimes because he can get you through the first half of the game quickly, and once you're that far he can just buff the warrior while the other three hand out beatdowns.

The RM is a better fighter in place of a WM.
It's fair to consider that you may not need so much excessive healing, and the RM has all the offensive power (against undead too)and more than the WM has.
The RW/BW back end is definitely a strong foil to the common WW/BW.

My absolute favorite party, a few of my friends say using another fighter is better than the thief, i may be a little biased, but i think there wrong.

You give the black wizard Masamune so he can do respectable damage against monsters that are not weak against elemental magic. Since he doesn't have enough magic to go all out on every fight, you might as well get some physical damage out of him. Giving him the Masamune gives you 4 characters that can do solid melee damage. We aren't talking rocket science here, buddy.

To me, this party actually seems a bit less useful than Fi/Rm/Wm/Bm, or Fi/Th/Wm/Bm...it's the lack of white magic, really. Having four people casting FAST may be useful, and three decent physical attackers is likewise good, but without CUR4 and LIF2, the later bosses are a bit of a challenge compared to my prefered parties. Worse, you still need to pay quite a bit for gear and spells, yet you aren't getting the best items. Even though playing the party used in 8-bit Theatre is fun...I'm still going with my Fi/Rm/Wm/Bm, expensive as it may be.
