This party is a very good one. The three Fighters will give you all the offensive power you ever wanted, while the Red Mage acts as a healer and a Black Magic user. Though this party will be slightly lacking in the healing department, with three well-equipped Fighters, you won't really be needed all that much healing. Plus, this party has an advantage over the four Figher party in that the Red Mage can cast EXIT, thus letting you escape the ToF to save (this is good if you want to use the Masmune outside the Temple). All in all, this is a pretty darn good party.

Brian and I did a speed run with this party once. It was fun.

it's better than the fighter4x party, but it's still expensive...atleast you can have plenty of low level healing after class change...

Best speed running party. Capable of beating the game well before level 20.

Shoot for going straight to the ice cave at 13, its a cakewalk from there.

armor costs a lot, and little magic.
fighters can only hit 1 target, black magic can hit all.
if you like swords, better than 4 fighter party, though

I beat the game with this party. Chaos was a cinch to beat since it onlt took a turn or 2. Everyone was level 30-32 when i beat him.

Not a big fan of unbalanced parties. There is only one best suit of armor for one fighter, no nuke, no heal 4, no harm magic....

This party is the easiest to complete the game with I think

when you are at the elf land part ( astos and crystal eye ) just get the silver sword for everybody and u can get around 300dmg per hit.
great for a speed run

This is posibly the best party in the game (power and speed wise). Prehaps a lil monotonous, though.

The first time I beat the game was w/ this party w/o using a walkthrough (and wondered around the ToF for a long freaking time w/o having picked up Life and only evenelyaly realised what the Heal items did...having tossed one). Killed Chaos on the first atempt on the dungeon with all chars still alive (again, no Life spell, oops).

This was the first party I beat the game with, after I figured that my hell-on-wheels style of fighting wasn't suited to the fragilities of the thief or black mage.
Four guys with silver swords taking on the Lich...
God, that was great.

Instead of three fighters have a thief in the second slot to run from encounters that are useless. (wolves, undead, and other enemies that just wear and tear on your party). thief is seriously so underrated

Oh and for those of you that don't know thieves are 95% capable of escaping from battles. Obviously not wizards. Another benefit is the Ninja can learn the fast spell which should be cast in every boss fight. so you have the red mage casting fast on one fighter and the ninja casting fast on the other fighter. Let's not forget that when you go fight a boss you can just switch the order of your party from Fi.Th.Fi.Rm. ---> Fi.Fi.Th.Rm. Because you can escape from bosses that's why thief is so good. Plus he can Equip Ice Armor.

Forget the thief. With this party, you don't need to run from any battles. You can just destroy everything in the same amount of time it would take to run from a battle, and you wouldn't be missing out on EXP.

Awesome party, anyway. The game was a breeze with it.

Super strong party, but I never like trying to equip a 3rd Knight with the Xcal, Sun Sword, Dragon Armor and Opal Armor used up.

Seriously, it doesn't matter. Flame Armor, Ice Shield, Heal Helmet (or ribbon whatever, and Defense is still super strong. A Ninja would just seem more creative, not to mention previously mentioned benefits.

But tossing in a Thief would slacken the overall attack value of the party, and you'd be wanting a BB or a Knight or a BM, maybe in place of the RM or Thief, lol.

It's just hard to design a "perfect" party.

I just made this one and it seems pretty cool, i will say a thief would be handy early on, but it doesn't really matter. It's a very balls-to-the-wall party, and i like it lol...
