Actually, Final Fantasy got it from Dungeons and Dragons. Kary is actually called Marilith in the original Japanese version. Marilith, in Dungeons and Dragons, actually has six arms, but is otherwise just like Kary/Marilith from Final Fantasy. Marilith was introduced in Dungeons and Dragons in the late 70s. Just thought you should know. |

Yeah, apparently a lot of FF1 monsters were directly ripped off of D&D, which is also kind of ripped off of Tolkien-style fantasy. Round and round and round it goes, where the plagiarism stops, nobody knows! |
